Climber, Explorer & Storyteller
For over 30 years, Leo Houlding has led expeditions to wild places in search of ambitious climbs, new lines and meaningful journeys—from El Capitan to Everest, the Arctic to Antarctica, and the Amazon rainforest to the Arabian Desert.
He brings those experiences to life through award-winning films, live talks, acclaimed books and original digital stories: tales of people, places, uncertainty, challenge, overcoming adversity and facing fear.
“I believe everybody needs a little more adventure in their lives.”
Alongside major expeditions, Leo has increasingly shared adventure with his family—finding that the wild can be a place not only to test yourself, but to connect.
As an ambassador for The Outward Bound Trust and Berghaus, Leo is committed to helping more people experience the confidence, connection and possibility that come from going a little further.
